Each summer SOLE offers several different out-of-school experiential education programs for youth 4-17 years old. From day-based outdoor science camps for youth 4-9 years old to multi-day backcountry expeditions for teens, SOLE has a program for you and yours.

Junior Naturalist Experience Program | Nature Detective

Perfect for those youth 4-6 years old that love exploring and learning about our natural world, SOLE Junior Naturalist Experiences SM provide the perfect balance of outdoor free-play and purposeful experiential education lessons to keep youth immersed and engaged in this novel classroom environment while have the opportunity to be creative and explore!

LEAD Experience | Leader of the Day
During SOLE’s (5) day Leader of the Day (LOD) LEAD Experiences SM youth explore, learn and develop leadership through various adventure-based activities and service-learning. Recommended ages for summer programs (10 – 12). During the school year, LOD programs can be custom-tailored to the specific grade level.
LEAD Experience | Teen Trek
During SOLE’s Teen Trek Experiences SM adolescent participants develop transferable leadership skills as they travel on water or trail as a member of an actual backcountry expedition! Recommended ages for summer programs (13-17). Can be custom-tailored for schools.

Each year SOLE's board of directors works hard to raise essential funds for SOLE's Youth Scholarship Fund. While all SOLE programs are subsidized in some form or fashion, families may also apply for a partial or full scholarship to cover additional program fees. SOLE's board of directors will review all scholarship applications on a first-come-first-serve basis.
