Seasonal Experience | Wilderness First Aid

8 in stock

In collaboration with local Wilderness Medical Associates instructor David Ramsey, Selkirk Outdoor Leadership and Education (SOLE) is offering a 16-hour Wilderness First Aid (WFA) Certification Course with a winter-specific focus.
The best and most comprehensive course of its kind to offer relevant and realistic first-aid training for seasonal outdoor activities or short term wilderness endeavors and pursuits. To this extent, this Wilderness First Aid will be a two-day introduction to general medical concepts and basic life support skills. Additionally, winter-specific experiential scenarios will be offered to include those medical rescue skills that you may need during an actual avalanche rescue.
Also, offered at a discount, in combination with the SOLE Avalanche Rescue Course: Town Based: Co-Ed these two experiences are purposefully linked to hone your backcountry know-how so you can fully prepare for the unexpected seasonally. All proceeds will go towards SOLE’s Youth Scholarship Fund to provide novel and transformational experiential education programs for underserved rural youth.
The course is taught by professional instructors with significant patient care and backcountry experience.
